Serrations on a ZT MUDD?

I've got a ZT MUDD for an EDC at work, and the addition of serrations would be very beneficial. I thought maybe I could sent it back to ZT to do a partial serration job on it, but they won't perform modifications. Does anyone know where I could send it to have this done? Thanks.

I haven't heard of too many people wanting their PEs made into combo edges. I know of a couple of knife sharpeners here on BF but I'm not for sure if anyone would be willing to give it a try. Good luck and let us know how this turns out

I suggest getting a SE Tenacious or something to carry with your MUDD, that way you have the benefit of a SE and PE knife, without having too little of each on one knife. And for the cost of having serrations added, it would be cheaper to buy a SE Tenacious anyways.

The ZT 650ST is a similar design to the Mudd, and it's partially serrated. It is an auto, though. And it lacks the seals of the Mudd.

I've tried several knives from a Tenacious to a Sebenza at work, and so far the MUDD suits my needs the best. The only problem is it has a hard time chewing through 1" manila rope, so I was really hoping to get some serrations cut.

When I'm belted up there is really only one secure accessible pocket, so packing an additional knife isn't an option.

Oh, that clears things up. Maybe try a hawkbill blade or something. I'm not sure if you could get serrations cut or not, I've never seen serrations added before.

For some reason I recall some dealer in Colorado offering the service of adding serrations to knives, but I can't find it via "google" now. I didn't bookmark the site, unfortunately.

You might wish to ask in the "makers" area.
