Serrations on the Project II?

Hey guys,

After quite a lot of reading and finding I might have sold myself on getting the Project II from CRK.

Just a quick questions for you guys: I'm going to get the Project II to keep as a safe queen. Should I get the standard one with serrations or the optional one without serrations? Still wondering which one would be worth more in the future.

Any takes on Project I vs Project II too (spear-style vs bowie-style)? :D

Thanks!

I love the Spear Point personally. To me, they just seem like a tougher knife. I carry my shadow 3 quite a bit in hunting season and use it for nearly everything. I have 15 one piece knives and only have 3 clip points from what I can remember without going through them. A Jeroboam II, to me the Jeroboam I is more of a spear point. A Project II and the Aviator. The only reason I got the Project II was because I got it from a dealer going under for $125 NIB. All my others are spear point, tanto, sable grind. A clip point reminds me more of a military knife. The spear point is unique as you dont see many knives like them. I know I would like to get a Project I Spear Point without serrations. I think you will have less of a chance of any tip breakage with the spear point as well. Just my personal choice !!!

Haven't posted for a while. My Project II is early to the point its numbered. I've used it a whole lot over countless years and its still my favorite fixed knife. The serration's don't get in the way and are often quite useful. If I bought again I would still go for the serrations.

I've had both in the past and kept the Project II. If you were needing a heavy duty tool then go for the PI but if for not the PII is better for cutting and little bit faster in the hand.
