Serrations on the wrong side?

Why are most serrated and half serrated knives set up for lefties? I can only guess it's cosmetic, since most sale sites present their knives pointing left edge down. This is especially a problem with half serrated knives, as the chisel grind is on the wrong side.

Kitchen knives seem to be the exception to the rule and are random.

I am left handed and have always felt just the opposite. In a hammer grip and push cutting, the serrated side has more pressure and tends to bite into the material being cut. Doing this left handed the smooth side tends to just slip along the surface. Of course in a draw cut this would not be the case. It's a compromise.

Not a big deal for me as I don't like serrations anyway, except for a boat knife for rope cutting.
