service on customs

Hi,

What kind of service do they do on customs? Can they refinish blades. I have a neck knife (still a custom right?) and some of the finish on the handle is wearing. I was wondering if they can deal with it. Also what do they charge?
thanks guys.

I had my halfmoon CQC6 refurbrished. This included reblasting the bolsters and refinishing the micarta scales. I specifically asked for the blade to be left alone; otherwise it would have been refinished. Turnaround time was under two weeks. Cost: $25 plus shipping! I also sent in a new Specwar 2000 CQC5 because there was an imperfection in the main grind. I got it back in a few days (no charge). In summary, service for customs is nothing short of superb. I believe others have had similar experiences.

One of my CQC6's is there as we speak, Turn-around time I have been told is about 3 weeks !

I sent a Emerson Custom Fixed Blade to Ernie to have a sheath made for it and received it back in less than two weeks. I was very pleased with not only the quality, but the fact that they made the sheath for me in the first place.

So where do I send it to (address). And how do I get a price quote on the service?

Uhhh... I dunno 'bout that, DD... still waiting to hear from her on my CommandAir order - been while since I emailed her for the confirmation...

Well I've been E-Mailing her quite a bit recently about a 'few' knives I'm buying and my CQC6 which is being lovingly worked on and got an answer to every one of them within 48 hours !

She just likes you better - it's that damned British accent. Gets the ladies on this side of the pond every time.

Well we have to have some advantage over here. We've already lost our guns, the knives would go if the government was ever to figure out how to get hold of them all, but the accent ! Well you just may have something there !
