I understand that CRK offers a sharpening service...what is the cost of that? Also, I think I heard something about a refurb service...is that accurate? What is the cost and also time that the knife will be in their shop for both services? What is incuded in the refurb?

I am about to buy a used Sebbie and I am unsure of the exact condition (trust the seller of his description, but I am checking options out.) Please advise.

42$ for a complete refurb..plus shipping...I got mine back a few weeks ago, and it was my daily cary for 10 years.. I had used it pretty hard.....It came back looking better than the day I recieved it!! 21$ to sandblast handles , 21$ to polish and sharpen blade....check out their web site for more complete details on costs...turn around time depends...2 to 4 weeks is about the norm I think.......(CRK did not charge me for the shipping due to a slight delay..more excellent customer service, I say

If you just want it resharpened..its alot less....5 or 10 bucks I think...

CRK's pricelist is posted on their site at http://www.chrisreeve.com

I've sent 3 knives for mods/refurbish to them so far, and they are truly a pleasure to deal with. I'd bet a pretty penny you'll be VERY HAPPY with the work they do, should you send your new purchase in for refurb.

Their keep-it-new service is one of the biggest advantages fo these knives, IMO.

We do not charge for sharpening any of our knives - we only ask that you pay the return shipping. With an older knife, it is very hard to say just how much it will cost without seeing it because it is only when we strip it down and check it all out that we can see exactly what's needed. The $40-$50 ball park is good though and we certainly shoot for around 2 weeks but sometimes don't make it!
