A friend wanted a set of steak knives and his only request was that they were eight to nine inches long. The length is just under 9". They are made from 3/32 CPM154 and have cocobolo handles with 3/16" 416 SS pins.

I am using a new photo setup and these pics came out pretty good.

Awesome set!! Those turned out really REALLY nice! I always love your work but those are just killer. Your friend should be thrilled.

Thanks for the compliments. Delivered them the other day and he was very happy with the way they turned out.

If I were to make a suggestion, since they are a set. I would have gotten the wood as a board and cut it the full length, scales 1.5" wide and have the grain in each knife be a continuation of the boards grain. They are beautiful.

That sure is nice! I have trouble with getting one knife nice, let alone a matched set of 4!

I do have to ask, where does your name for your makers mark come from? I mean its not everyday I come across the same name as mine, even if spelled differently.

Xander,

My son's name is Alexander and Zander or Zanderman is his nickname. I use the puzzle piece in my mark because he has Autism.
