Here`s a set of knives on which I tried a new way of attaching the handlematerial to the blades.

Blades are random pattern Damasteel.

Hanldes are whale jawbone with fileworked bronze "liners".
Mounted with torx screws.

Wetshaped openspine sheaths.

Any and all comments are welcome.
Sorry for the poor quality pictures...

VERY cool Magnus. It is interesting to see some out of the ordinary knives and construction techniques.

I like them all as well as your leatherwork.

A beautiful matching set of knives with well designed
sheaths that make the whole package very special....

All the best,

Thank you for your kind words, very inspring and very appreciated indeed!

By the way, here are some specs:

The long slim knife is 10"+ (260mm) overall with a 4½" (115mm) handle.

The recurve is 9" (230mm) overall with a 4½" (115mm) handle.

The small one is 5"+ (135mm) overall with a 3" (75mm) handle.

Forgot to add a couple of pictures and a slight detail about the knives.

My makers mark is stamped into the spine of each knife and the "keeperstrap" has a hole thru which it can be seen when sheathed:

And a closeup of the fileworked bronze liner:

Very interesting and really nice. They beg to be handled to see how they feel.

Those are very cool. I especially like the skinny one. I was impressed before I saw the detail photos. The fine detail just puts it over the edge. Inspiring!
