I got a Gunting and I think it is a well made but very specialized knife. The compression lock, however, seems like it will be a great edition to any design. Please say when the Vesuvius and Temperance will be released. I can't wait to see an everyday type of knife with a compression lock.
 
I also love the compression lock. I think we'll be seeing it on quite a few models soon.

I'd even like to see a compression lock on the Chinook. That would be sweet.
 
Yeah, the Vesuvius and Temperance are the two knives that haven't been released yet that I'm most excited about. Not just because of the lock, but also because they just look like great designs!

I too am looking forward to more designs with the compression lock. I think it's one of the most reliable, strongest, and simplest locks out there. I also like Spyderco's emphasis on innovative, purpose-driven design, rather than what looks saleable.
