Seto Folding Katana Liner Lock

I don't know the knife itself. AUS-10 is supposed to be an improvement on AUS-6 and AUS-8, which are standard, good steels. Micarta makes an excellent handle.

The blade shape seems based on the swept point, which makes a good skinner, even if this one is pointier than it would need to be for that. It looks like a fine utility shape and could make a good kitchen knife.

I don't know if you should have to pay that much for it, though. It reminds me of the CRKT Kommer Alaska Bwana.

That's a beautiful picture! It really shows the grain of the micarta, and the unusual blade grind. It also shows a much better price! Now it sounds like a good deal.

I don't know why they call it a "katana" though, except that the name gives it a Japanese flavor. This is not a complaint! Advertising has its own logic :p

Hi Neo. Yoshinori Seto does, IMO, very good work. He is a voting member of the US custom knifemakers guild. He has good skill and takes exceptional pride is his knife making.

AUS-10 is a performance steel that is used in Spyderco's Native SS version which has has good success and excellent customer satisfaction.

give us your reviews when you get it! the blade looks like it has a appleseed/hamaguri grind at the tip, which flows from the rather deep looking hollow grind on the primary edge.
