Hi forum members!
I am looking for feedback/opinions about the Seto line of kitchen knives that are being sold currently through the Spyderco Outlet store. Please do not respond to this thread if you do not actually own and use one of knives. I need real world feedback.

Thanks!

In late July I purchased one of the Seto SK120D 4.72" Damascus Utility Knives from SFO and have been using it, on an off, in my kitchen ever since. It's an excellent knife, and a great looking one, although for sheer slicing ability, I'll still take my trusty old Spyderco K05 Utility. OTOH, the The SK120D holds an edge better. Haven't gotten around to it yet, but I plan on purchasing the damascus Santoku and Cook's Knife.

I held one at the SFO and the handles are light yet hand-filling and with good traction.

That's the kind of feedback I'm looking for! I am interested in the same two knives that you are. How's the handle feel with the special coating they have on it?

Thanks for your reply!

I have a small damascus Santoku with a plain brush finished stainless handle of similar size and shape. Between the dimples and the gritty textured black coating, the Seto Utility Knife's handle feels considerably more secure in my hand.

I did not know the black finish had a gritty texture to it. That's good to know! I think I will like this series of kitchen knives that spyderco has to offer.
Thanks for your input!
