I am thinking about this setup. Pouch is a Maxpedition Strobe / GPS / Compass Pouch

I have that same pouch and carry a headlamp and spare batteries in it. Good pouch. Mounting it on your favorite knife sheath (assuming that it's your favorite knife;)) sounds good to me.
 
Oh yeah, now that dog will hunt.

Thats a great setup, and I been looking at trying to find a small pouch for one of my knives. That looks good, Sgt. Be sure and show it off when you're done.

I got the pouch but went with the leather handled Mark 1. I might order the hard sheath for it

Tomar's has just sheaths for a song, when you get ready. $14 +shipping is a steal.

Oh, and good call on that leather handle, loves me some leather.

Been looking at the leather zippo pouches. Think I can cut off the belt loop and gorlilla glue it to this Mark I leather sheath

I had one from Camel, that had a spring and a platforum in the the bottom, to lift the lighter up, so you could grab it. It was pretty large.

What were you thinkin' of puttin' in there, Sarnt?

Not sure yet. I need to get one and see what sorta room I have to work with
 
The one I had, was a zippo size + half. So, space was limited.

If you are looking for a bigger leather pouch, I know a couple of guys that will make one for you, reasonably priced.
