Wow, another round of beauties. Going to try for the

CAK EMS!

Edited : DONE DEAL [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]

I've been good. I've resisted those beautiful bowies day after day. But this one was too much. EMS on Bowie!

Well pyro008,
We're in the same boat. If I manage to score the Chiura, it's on the same day I purchased my first HI Kukri, an M43.

Bigbore, make sure you sent an email, that's what counts. Posting here is just to let the other sharks know your in the water.

Thanks Bawanna I appreciate the heads up. I already had sent an email. However, since it was the first time I wanted to be double sure. I guess you have to be real quick. Although I responded within a couple minutes, I missed it anyway. There will be others, until then I'm sure I'll enjoy my M43. Thanks again for the heads up, it's truly appreciated. Not a lot around like you in this day and age.
Ciao,

Umi, thanks for the heads up as well. I'm still learning the ropes here, first day. The abbreviations are a wee bit challenging, at least some. Well, now I know CAK but, what the heck is EMS? I'm glad I found my way here. It seems there are a lot of first class denizens on the site. I also had the privilege of speaking with Lady Yangdu earlier today about the M43, she is one Gem of a human being and a pleasure to both converse and work with.

EMS=Electronic Mail Sent I think. I'm computer challenged myself.

Auntie Yandu is indeed a pure class act. No higher integrity or kindness in a person I've ever seen.

I gotta look up denizens, I'm sure we got a few of them here but I dont know what it is so I can't say for sure.

I guess we're even now, you don't know EMS and I don't know denizen.

Hope I didn't get called something bad, I'm kind of sensitive and all, skins only about 1 1/2'' thick at my ricasso and 1/4'' thick at the lips.

Been awhile......that Cherokee has some serious potential. The CAK is gorgeous as is the Tin Chirra. I have missed out on some nice work around here.

I never miss out....if it is wanted and Dear Yangdu has one, i buy it, or wait for it to get here...never any missing out.....i learned a very long time ago that waiting to save $25 or $50 on something i really wanted, or passing on same for same amount was a very false sense of economy, since later the price i would not accept became the price hunted frantically......
Or as a well known writer often quotes, "you can never pay too much, but only pay too soon"....

None of this goes for those who only enjoy "sharking"......i see it as everyone enjoys playing snapping turtle.....

Your welcome bigbore - i should have told you the ems as well. Bawanna is right, email sent. If you go to the stickies, i think there is a list of abbreviations. I feel bad to shark the Chiruwa from you, especially on your anniversary. I have been hunting a few kuks, which i only recently started hoarding. I will try not to snatch the next one. If you stay a while, im sure you will find the den is full of several good friends, all good peeps.

Tis more a luck of the draw as to who happens to tune in when Dear Yangdu posts a DOTD....and who ruminates less on whether to buy....

I would not doubt there are non-posters who have when and on what day of what month Dear Yangdu posts the deals, and who sell their guaranteed to get a knife system to other non-posters....

And anybody can still play snapping turtle and stand a good a chance as any....i do not even play, but it is loads of fun to watch.....a similar thing happens when Randall announces a shop sale on orders which fell through on non-paying individuals, they do it by phone and hundreds of panting collectors have their phones set on auto-dial hoping to be the one to get through at opening time...

I am quite sure no more apology required here than for being the guy who got the ring instead of the busy signal.....a sale is a sale as far as a kami is concerned and it means a steady job where such is rare....and for all the sheath makers and apprentices and support folk and suppliers and etc...they all thank you.

You're going to love the M43, it's a beast!

Umi, please don't feel bad, that in turn would make me feel the same way. That's how the dice of life roll. I truly am happy for you. For being a newbie I really am kind of clueless, I should get one in my hands before going hog wild. I liked it because it has a full tang as the M43 I purchased, just something I prefer. Again, please don't feel bad. If I wasn't new I wouldn't have written a two paragraph note to Yangdu wanting to purchase it. Things may have been different, perhaps not, such is life. My son passed away just over a year ago, the only good side of that is learning what is ultimately important in life, missing out on a knife is not. Anyway, during an email conversation earlier in the morning, I explained to Yangdu how knife collecting takes my mind off last year's tragity. When I lost on this one she emailed me a good deal on another which I took up, bless her soul. So it all worked out in the end. Thank you for your sincere concern. I can tell you're a good person from that. Hopefully we will get to know each other better over the years. I certainly will need opinions on what to purchase next! ;^ )

Thank you one and all who have been so kind with your helpful replies and acceptance to this wonderful site thus far. Your assistance and understanding are most welcome. Please beware I will attempt to keep stupid questions in the future to a minimum. However, undoubtedly a few will slip through the cracks.
