Just bored this Saturday, and a litle bit curious. Here are two sets of knives-which one you would prefer? I am not selling them, but please note the price per set is about the same. Up to you to follow your logic or your heart. Oh, as a side note, the Mini Barrage is deassisted, so do not be detered if you do not like assisted openig knives. Any elaboration is welcome.

I would probably pick the two knife set. There is a lot of redundancy in the set with seven. A person really can't go wrong with either though.

Thanks for the participation so far. A litle bit reluctantly I will describe the knives, but I am not sure reading about the sets before voting is a good idea.

For the two knives, the puukko is probably the most beatiful knife I have, cuts very well both wood and food. I will not be surprised if it is in fact more versatile than the my newly purchased Victorinox Venure (see bellow).
The BM pictured eventually will be disconinued soon, and even today it is not coomon a 3" blade BM to have weight and bulkiness being at least consideration. Valox, steel liners, 154CM - I think all of these will be hard to find in one knife, at least made by BM . The knife has heft, feels sturdy and strong, and cuts well. I have so many delicate slipjoints, and I like that my only modern folder is so strongly build.

For the seven knives, I purchased Mora Classsic 1,2,and 3 four years ago, but gave the Mora 2 to a friend soon after. The two left are enough for most tasks where scandi grind excel, and the 2mm Classic 3 is quite good enough to cut everything, but after cutting 20-30 zip ties it's good to check the blade eventually to be honed/strop.
Then we have the relatively new Victorinox Venture seemingly designd and build to be as universal fixed blade as possible, and Evolution 10, which is in par with Bantam to be my SAK favorite.
The fifth is Opinel 7 and this is the size I prefer. My other Opinel is size 4. I had sizes 5, 6, and 8 in the past.
Finally, the two French made sheepfoots. Both do not have half stop, and that is what I prefer. The difference in cutting edges is only 1/8", but weight, sturdiness, handle, pocketability, the overall feeling when holding them - makes them completely differen knives. The small one is mostly for the tip to be used, and the big one kinda invites me to test its limits, but I wll not do that.

Just love the quality of the 2! Especially the birchbark handle.
Even though I would like the sets to be considered as a whole, instead of each knife individually, I am tempted to respond to you, R Roblues - this handle is hands down the most comfortable and with the best tactile feeling. No contender whatsoever. There are five or six knives out of sixty that can compete for number two spot, but no knife comes even close to this puukko.

Good bargains for good serviceable set, chose the seven.

Since your Imgur links do not open for me, I can’t see the knives, and therefore cannot cast a fully informed vote. Bearing in mind the old saw: “ Mora and Opinel. All else is vanity”, my first instinct would be to go with the seven. On the other hand, the Mini Barrage is one of my long-time favorite modern folders. Who knows how wonderful a birchbark-handled puukko might be. It might just push me in the two-knife direction, especially since I already have a dozen Moras, another dozen Opinels, more SAKs than I know what to do with.
Now that I think of it, the puukko is the only knife that would bring something new to my accumulation, so that's my vote.

The puukko is Iisakki Jarvenpaa Aito.
