I posted these in a chopping thread I think, in GD but want to share them with ESEE enthusiasts.
My wife mows a certain portion of our property (farm girl - likes tractors
) but branches were scratching her and not allowing her to mow as tight as he'd like. I told her "I'll take care of that!"
I walked out to the spot and as I unsheathed my Junglas I lit a cigarette ( Don't smoke! :grumpy: ) and scoped it out for a few while I took a couple of pulls on my smoke. Affirming my game plan, I dropped the smoke and began clearing away the cr*p that was bothering her.
Here's the carnage, completed before the smoke had burned out - lets call it about 6 minutes!
Wiped the blade down with penetrating oil because it sustained a lot of skid marks, crud etc.. The junk didn't come off and I stained the handle with oil.
I sat thinking about the messy Junglas - went out to the laundry room basin and put a "feather light" dusting of comet on the blade and got off every mark using a laundry brush (no muscle). Next I put some dishwashing soap on the same brush and scrubbed the handle lightly to see what it would do with my oil drenched Micarta. OOPs! New Junglas, back in the house. Still slicing copy paper like butter too.
