Part of the collection of the late Brian Katz, known in this forum as Bri in Chi. Donated by Mrs. Katz to help the education of Rameshwor Sunar, son of Sgt. Khadka, a maker of khukuris, and a sargeant in the Nepalese Army. Ram is hopefully about to graduate from medical school in Latvia and will need a ticket home. Or if he didn't pass all of his exams, another semester in school. Proceeds of these sales over and above Ram's needs will go to a charity of Mrs. Katz' choice.

Payment by Paypal or USPS Money order. Priority shipping in Conus included. First email to sferguson2@triad.rr.com gets it.

#5 is a Panchthar (sp) I snagged one when Yangdu accidently put a pic of one on the DOTD.

LOL, I sent an email for that knife about a minute ago. Looks like you beat me to it.

Ooh, this is a tough one. But I did say first email gets it. Topgun's got to my inbox at 9:30, Khuku nut at 9:36.
Khuku nut, If you need a KK, I'll sell you a nice one from my own collection. I've got waaaaay to many of them. I'll send you a pic tonight.

Thanks,
Steve

#7 is interesting -

First, note the unusual handle work. The rings are carved much more deeply than normal, and the karda and chamka have extra rings carved into the butt. The handle isn't as glossy as #6, but the wood seems to have similar contrast. A few coats of oil would definitely bring out the depth.

Next, the hanshee tang tends to be more like #6 - not going all the way through the handle. However, 7 has a butt cap, suggesting the usual HI full-length tang.

Given the weight/length, it seems like Bura brought his usual flair for light and quick blades.
