Below you can see : Sheath is very comfortable for using, very good colour in combination with my special bag for shoot-gun cartridges. It is special water-proof bag for hunting on swamps and in water district.
In result I have got very unusual hunting tool , with Buck s quality, which is very close to my hunting equipment .

Flatlander is what we call out west A STAND UP GUY! You got some great Bucks Garry, best knives in the world.

Nice trio there, Igor. Flatlander (a.k.a. Gordon) sold me two beautiful knives, a Sambar Stag Alaskan Guide 110 and a first edition Gen-5 with snakewood scales and a 154 CM blade. The Gen 5 was at a very low price and he held it for a month until I could afford the payment. Very nice guy. He could have sold it for more.

I will soon be getting my third Alaskan Guide Sambar Stag 110. It was my initial goal to have three. One for daily use, one as a backup and a third for display and posterity. Since the AG Sambar Stag 110 is no longer available from Cabelas, all three are from different members of this forum. Thank you all three! 500 were originally made. There are more out there for those who are looking. Good things come to those who wait. :)

A question Igor, How long did the knives take to transit from Maine to St. Petersburg? Were there any problems or delays at customs and did you have to pay an import duty? I'm interested because I have friends in Russia. Thanks.

Don't quote me on it, but I sold a 110 cs to a member in Russia about a year ago. It was no problem, even though I was really chompin at the bit until it arrived. IIRC it took 8 or 9 days from Oregon to Russia.
It was actually faster to Russia than it was from Oregon to Canada. IIRC that one was about 13 days

I guess you won't be buying any 120s soon, Gary......that's unfortunate.

And when I look at my folding Kalinga Pro with that big blade extended.......I say, hmmmmm......that's a weapon!!!

Again, congrats on your first 110 and the rest of your haul!

:)

Igor,

Do us a favor and give us an opinion on the 420hc blade in the crosslock after you have a chance to use it.

Thanks for all the kind comments fellas, my time on the board has been most rewarding and I've enjoyed getting to know so many of you. g

Thanks.
Kalinga is no weapon because the blade is more shortly than 150 mm.;)
It is legal only for folding knives.;)

I know you're really loving the S30V from Buck, but I think you are going to find that Buck/Bos has done a great job with the 420HC and most folks are very happy with the edge geometry and the edge holding of that steel.

I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say. g
