I received a used Lefty Severtech Auto today, from another BF for-mite, and decided to change it from a tanto to a more traditional blade shape. I needed to be able to sharpen this knife using my pocket stone (Fallkniven DC4). I never liked tanto shaped blades, but I won't fork over $500 for the Severtech Spartan (A clip point blade). The mod took me about 30 min. and I'm able to utilize the pocket stone for future sharpening. You'll notice that I had to go high up around area where the tanto corner is, due to the thickness of the steel in that area. The other blade is a ZT 0650 Auto for side and blade comparisons. The ZT is much faster due to the type of slide button it has, but the Severtech is more robust. Both are great knives for $200 or below as users. The Severtech is A2 tool steel and the ZT is 154cm. Below is the end results. BTW this is a very stout knife! Thanks. Bill
