The artwork is great, but not something I would have on one of my knives.
All depends on what you like, the knife itself, and where you want to place intrinsic value. The artist can scrimshaw ANYTHING, and do a fantastic job. Honestly, I really don't like aliens, monsters, demons, fairies, and a whole lot of other stuff you see engraved or scrimmed on knives. Some of those things make me
uncomfortable. I can think of one deceased engraver, who although very talented technically, did alot of work that just plain freaked me out. However, you do see ALOT of nudes, now I'll grant you the first one is a bit "over the top", but I wanted that on this knife...after all, some of you ARE staring at it!
And honestly Keith, that big ass chunkin' handguard short sword in your avatar, isn't anything you would see in my collection. My wife although not thrilled with the first knife is OK with it, she really likes the second one. On the other hand, if I brought home a bowie, (which I wouldn't) I'd be doin' a 180 right back to the post office with that sucker.
