Was the handle on the Natural Outlaw displayed at Blade 2003 the standard or the magnum version? Whatever it was, it sure had a great feel.

there were 2 natural outlaws at blade west when i was there, one that was screwed onto the board that had regular black paper micarta handles, and regular black coating.

the second one that was on the table for people to hold and such had urban camo finsih, and grey canvas micarta magnum handles on one side, and on the other... well the other side was.... weird....

the other side of that one was almost completely chisel ground (the saber grind was about 1/4" from the edge, the rest was flat) and it was a really gritty finish, like a desert finish that had sand thrown into it. those were tiger stripe magnums that hadnt been sanded down (so i assume... they were pretty jagged...)

Mike, the one you handled at Blade 03 in Atlanta was the standard version. As I recall, Jerry didn't come up with the "magnum" until several months later. I took a liking to the NO at Blade, handled it quite a bit and I would have remembered the "magnum" if it were there. I really like this NO. I have very little use for the NO-E, but this thing is a whole other animal.
