I am looking at a knife in the UK and ST100 (probably SF100 actually) is a stainless steel choice. I know nothing of this steel and Google searches turn up bearings and various tooling.

What is the steel like? What is it comparable to? Good choice? Bad choice? Other?

TIA,
Sid

A link would help. Is it definitely ST100, not SF100?

SF100 is quite closely comparable to AEBL and 13C26 IIRC.

SF100

SF100 – Sheffield’s Stainless Steel. Originally conceived as a razor blade steel, SF100 is a fine-grained stainless steel, with a great combination of toughness, corrosion resistance, ease of resharpening and polishing. Similar in composition to AEB-L/13C26/14C28N it is a great cost-effective alternative.
