So… I was poking around in Guyon’s 15,000th post give-a-way thread
and ran across Cougar Allen’s post with the SFNO from badmojo.

Now this SFNO was the one introduced at Blade 2003…
Notice anything in particular about it???

This one is a SFNO from the Production Run in 2004… I’m sure you all know they had a saber grind.
(Pic from Busse Combat)…

Then we had a small batch of CG SFNOs that were released at the 2007 Knob Creek show.
And these had a full height grind.
(Pic from Paddling_man… just let me know if you would prefer I not use your pic PM)…

So… did you notice the full height grind on the 2003 SFNO proto???
(I guess it could be called that)

Makes me wonder if Jerry found a box with some of the SFNOs from 2003…

I want and would take the middle - 2004 Saber grind cut, that's the overall winner in my book! That would be one the best blades on the market today! Just a perfect design and size. It's a winner for me!

Sometimes its hard to see the sabre grind on the coated ones. Are you sure the black coating is a flat grind? Just wondering. It is interesting though.

I'm partial to the flat ground ones myself. I have two of the grex ones from the Bloodbath ganza and they are swell

And here's a Custom SFNO I picked up direct from The Man at last year's Blade:

I really need to take a better picture of that!

I have to agree with Westllen -- I just love that grind. It's never leaving my casa. :D

There was only one of these. :(

Almost lost my left kidney leaping forward to grab it...

I'd like either one, but I would prefer the sabre grind. It appears to put more weight out on the blade and would make it a slightly better chopper.

I agree. It is a bit more blade forward than the other flat ground SFNOs I have.

If you'd just made it to Blade a little earlier last year ... it would be YOUR picture in this thread. ;)

But do you all think the new batch of CG SFNOs might be from the 2003 blade blanks?

I'd like to just handle a saber-ground, mag handled one. If only to judge if my CS, G-rex one will do.

Jamie, you have been holding out on us! I never saw that one before, you sly fox-HOG!:D , THAT'S JUST BEAUTIFUL!!

Very possible the 2003 batch.

Actually that is a Chuddy Bear picture of my blade. Use it anytime, as far as I'm concerned! I doubt Chuddy Bear would mind.

;)

(All this talk is starting to make me miss my passaround blade. ;) It is being loved by others now.

Things that make you go Hhhhmmmmm!

I remember once upon a time when 73 INFI Police Recruit blanks got found in a Box and finished.

If I'd just beaten Troy to the Exchange, a sabre grind would be mine.

Speaking of Chuddy and SFNOs, I have this rig coming from him, next week I hope. Should look nice on my custom SFNO.
