I wish I knew what Jerry had planned for the SFNO. I've got the urge for another chunk of INFI to wrap things up and the SFNO is high on the list. There's a few SFNO's on the exchange that tempt, but how can one purchase with the lingering thoughts of a newer release? Maybe a potential LE? It's actually brought my potential purchases to a screamin' dead halt.
That and every damn time I see a new post in the HACK thread I'm looking to see what's new and every time, it's nothing.
Waiting.
Patiently.
Sort of.

Go get one on the exchange. If you don't, you may regret it later when they are no longer available and Jerry still has not released another version of the SFNO. And even if he does release the SFNO again, who is to say that what he releases will be as much to your liking?

If you sit around and wait for the perfect knife to come out, you may be sitting for awhile. Ask Ducci how long he's been waiting for the folder to come out.

I think I'll wait it out a bit. When Jerry says somethings coming, then somethings coming. It's tough though that's for sure, there are a couple sweet customs and blade specials on the XC! I'd kick myself if I picked one of those up and then a sweet CG or LE was released.

They will come, someone made the point about knob creek being around the corner, I wouldn't be surprised if the NMSFNO was offered in a ganzaa some time after that. Either way Im waiting this one out. I waited out the NMFBM, I didn't care for it so I passed, no regrets.

I'm also waiting. NMSFNO would probably get me to pull the trigger. A NMSJ would definitely get me to pull the trigger. There is no perfect knife. Fortunately, there is usually another knife. :D

Been sticking to the threads night and day now since the annoucement.. Yes ,it is getting old waiting, but I also remember waiting for the ASH1 to come out, and it got postponed and was a very long, wait, but well worth it. An SNFO of any configuration is going to be a good knife. I would like to see the thicker blade and a saber grind... Skunk had the ultimate SNFO on his site from what I have seen by some pics posted.. the .27 Sabar blade with Mag handles... MAN! that was a knife.... So, yes, we wait. I would personally save my $$ for when Jerry releases the new ones.. Spending $600 compared to around probably $300 is IMO not worth the price of an older model... that is until it comes out and we see what it looks like.. who knows, it may be a nicer Knife than the old one was. The wait will be worth it I think. ESPECIALLY IF CAMO IS an option on the blade finish and there is an LE offered!

i just bought a sabre because there so hard to find and im afraid if jerry doesnt release a sabre this time then im screwed. but hopefully the price of the new sfno will be low enough for me to take a second mortgage and buy one lol. but until then ima beat this sabre until she screams.

That's exactly why the only one's I'm looking at are the customs and the Blade editions. They're priced at cost (relatively), original SFNO's are going for double/triple what they originally went for. I imagine the next gen SFNO won't be exactly like the original so who knows what it'll do to the secondary market price...

I got this one just before Jerry announced the next release, man I love this knife. Can't wait for the next one. C'mon satin green linen micarta...
