I finally lucked into a SFNO recently and I now understand what all the fuss is about. This is simply a great knife! It falls right in between my FSH and SJTAC and seems to be the perfect all around user. I love the flat primary grind and the big belly. The handle is really easy to grip too. It wields nicely, blade heavy but too much. I can’t wait until these come around again! Please Jerry, bring back the SFNO!!! Make it just like this one (although a little fatter blade would be nice too!)!

I wanted to take some glamour shots before I start using it so here you go:

Dang that looks familiar;), Mess her up real real good. Dont be afraid to get it bloody either. Hopefully JurT will come along soon and show you how to take care of her real proper.

I love that knife. Tried for one too, but wasn't lucky. Thanks for the good pics.

I really like the almost dark brown color of the canvas on yours.

Forgot to mention, the handle color was a little mottled on mine when I got it. I applied a touch of mineral oil and it evened right out and gave it the nice dark brown color. I did this this only for the photos, normally I wouldn't care :)

Mine is out getting fiited for pants. :(

But when she gets back, I suspect she will become a user within the first two minutes I hold her.

I am supposed to get one of those, but I think Amy has fallen for the Outlaw, and is not shipping it. :grumpy:

I'm still waiting on mine, too.
I called and talked to headquarters today and was told they're hoping to ship it (them) next week. :D

When I first saw the SFNO, I had, to quote an old friend, a heavy covet on that blade. A few months ago I was lucky enough to snag a user mere minutes after it hit the Exchange (thanks Heavy!) and soon my total will be up to three + three SOW variants.

But I'll let you in on a little secret. The Ratweiler is a better chopper. When you choke back on the SFNO for chopping, the grip is not as secure and the point of the skull crusher digs into your palm.

Thats the only neg i have with my SFNO is that sometimes the skull crusher inhibits chocking back, wait two: with a vert sheath it can dig into your side if you arent careful. So get a dangler with this one.

That is a, MOST EXCELLANT BLADE:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks for sharing the pics
