SFNO passaround feeler...

I have an unused clip point desert NO that I picked up in a trade some time ago from a "good guy" here on the forum (If he wants to identify himself here, I am sure he will). She is 1 of 14. Nevertheless, being my absolute favorite mid-sized Busse to date, I am now 99.99% sure that she is a keeper. What that means is that she is also going to be a user. As such, I am trying to guage what interest folks here might have in a passaround (like I said, she needs to be used :D (though NOT abused)).

If there is interest, I would like the knife to go to folks here in the US who have never had an opportunity to handle an NO. No offense to anyone outside of CONUS, but I am just not overly comfortable with her going to foreign countries. I would like to limit the passaround to 10 people, each of whom could have her for about a week. Who would get on the list??? I figure I'd post my own "GO" thread sometime during a pre-specified hour and date, and the first 10 to post "Count me in!!!" could participate. (Yes Jerry, I know, but I hope you won't mind it too much if I adopt the Busse Ganza MO:p :p ) We could call it a ... NOpassaroundaganza!!!!

So, who thinks they MIGHT be interested???

EDITED TO ADD: Ok, brain not engaged here. It's NOT an SFNO, but a desert clip point NO...duh!!!!

Hey! It's still a Natural Outlaw!!

I'd love to participate. I've only seen pictures of the Natural Outlaws...have flirted several times with buying one, but it hasn't worked out. I think I'm trying, subconsciously, to determine my favorite version (probably some form of SFNO)!

Being able to handle one would be wonderful. Count me in.

That's a great idea and a great gesture. I'd love to get in, but probably wouldn't try since I'm in the middle of the passaround with Mulder. I know they're unrelated, but I feel lucky to have been in this one - there's plenty of deserving people that'll want to see it! :D

Great idea!

I've handled a NO-E, so I'm not eligible, but still a great idea. Clip point too

SFNO or NO-E clip point? A clip point desert SFNO would be awesome!

Here is a pic. Of course, she will come with the original factory sheath as well. She is essentially an NO-E clip with the butt ground off by the shop. To hold her is to love her--believe me, she melts in your hand. She is arguably the best balanced Busse I have ever owned.

I'd get in on a passaround like that.

The biggest INFI I have handled so far is my Ergo Badger(still waiting on my BATAC).

I gotta say, that I am suprised that we don't have more passarounds being offered with Busse knives.

Count me in if there is room. I'd love to compare it to my CG NO-E! :)

BTW: sweet blade. I Love the Outlaw!

I'd definitely be in and would love to send you something cool and rare to use as well!

If I'm not too late... I'd love to get in on this.

I've never held any of the ergos... let alone any type of NO. :o

This would be a great chance for me to change both of those wrong doings. :D

OTE, Great jesture with a sweet blade.

Those that get on this will truly have some fun with this one.

Your right, it feels great in the hand. :D I was not able to get a good shot of it, but the scales are tapered, fatter on the upper spine and slimmer to the bottom. Are there other Busse knives with this feature?

I don't know. To tell you the truth, I never noticed and just love how it feels in hand, but never really stopped to wonder why. I am sure some Uber-HOG somewhere has the answer though!

Well, I am glad to say that it looks like there is sufficient interest in this. I don’t think anybody who gets in on this will regret it. So with that said, let’s do it this way:

Tomorrow night, Thursday, May 31, sometime between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Arizona time (we are currently the same time as the west coast), I will post the “1 of 14 Natural Outlaw Passaroundaganza GO!” thread. The first 10 people to unequivocally say, “Count me in!” or other such words will get to partake. If there are more than 10 folks, I will start a wait list, the order of which will be first come, first served. Let’s also please keep this CONUS for the sake of simplicity.:D

For those that do get in, I would like to have everyone’s info before Blade. By that, I mean name, address, telephone number, and any dates that you will be unavailable through October. I can put together a list from there. Hopefully, with a little luck, the order of use that I come up with will minimize the down time in travel and maximize the use time for everyone. We can then start the fun part of this sometime the week after Blade.

I do ask that everyone please adhere to the following simple rules. If you are unwilling to do so, then please do not sign up to be a part of this.

1. Shipping will be done via USPS Priority insured for $600 and with delivery confirmation.

2. No knife abuse, such as batoning through wire/cable, batoning with metal objects, chopping concrete, destroying porcelain toilets, etc. If anyone has any question about a particular activity, then please contact me before doing the activity in question.

3. You must post some pics, or at least your opinion of the knife and the basis for your opinion. This can be as simple as a single sentence. However, preferably you will do both. I am trying to get folks to get out and have some fun with the knife and perhaps impart a little information regarding their experience with INFI in general and this knife in particular. Still, if you don’t own a digital camera or can’t post pics, don’t sweat it; just say a few words instead.

So I think that is it, or at least all I can think of right now. Kudos to KnifeAddictAK for starting something here that I hope to see more of in the future, and to Mulder for continuing on with an SHBA.  If anyone has any questions whatsoever, please contact me at litterbox1@gmail.com.

Thanks for the interest and good luck to everyone!!!

Chris
