SFNOLE: V or Convex Edge?

George, if I'm not mistaken the LE's have the original "V" edge. Only the NMSFNO's were convex.

well cant speak for the LE but my NM SFNO sure feels and looks like and convex edge, but i really don't care, as long as it preforms im happy

The CGNMSFNO's had a full height convex grind, but a standard V-edge.

If I am not mistaken, it was only the NMSFNOLE that had the convex grind AND convex edge.

Does the SFNOLE have a V or a convex edge? Thank you

I believe the SFNO LE is a flat sabre grind with a V grind on the edge.
From what I have seen, the Busse V edge is done freehand and can have a little convex to it....

I just love the full convex on the LE, but that one cost a little more than I could swing at the time. My sage NMSFNO came in today with a fairly sharp V grind final edge. I noticed the convex primary grind right away. So I carefully "blended" a convex edge to the convex grind as much as possible without messing up the coating. It came out pretty good, I thought. It sure cuts well.

Great job Horn Dog, that looks great!!!

Thanks, dobywon. I got a new Kalamazoo grinder Wednesday and have been practicing on machetes, getting the feel of it. So I had a beer and put the brand new INFI to the belt. Whew, glad that's over!
