For those of u that keep up with the post I'm sure you've seen my many threads about these products.. just wanted to give a quick review about them after finally using them with my centofante3. It was my third knife I sharpened with them but the first two were some of my moms cutco knives.. didn't spend a lot of time with them or really care about the results I was more curious of the cutting speed and the scratch pattern. Results were decent with those but not what I want with my knives. It took a little longer then I thought to form a burr down the whole spyderco with the five hundred then I would've thought but then again the only time I sharpened it was right after the factory did and I just got my dmts. I remember not having a burr all the way down but didn't care. It still got pretty sharp then but not like it is now. After the 2k sg I was push cutting newspaper no problem.. I followed that up with a spyderco uf ceramic and man it had a beautiful edge I couldn't even find a scratch.. I would call it completely mirrored but I've heard it takes a lot more then that.. it cuts like a laser and will wiggle hair... shaptons produce a much finer edge then the dmt but the dmts do there job. Now I'm trying to find something to spread this diamond paste before I strop.. used the rough side of the leather and I might've rolled the edge a little near the tip so I'm. Holding back a little.. would hate to resharpen after the way it is cutting.. if I did roll the edge would the uf bring it back or would I have to go to the 2k
