I'm now hooked on Kershaw's. I've picked up about 30 knives in the last month (mostly Kershaw's), including some of KershawGuy's S60V Blurs. What I really want is an SG2 Blur NIB. I saw someone earlier put one up in the For Sale or Trade thread, but the early bird got the worm. (Wasn't Me).

Was wondering if anyone has one they want to get rid of. I dont really have anything I want to trade right now, but I do have paypal.

Thanks for looking.

Les.

(Oh yeah, I just joined the site this weekend. Look like a pretty good place. Heck of a lot better place to hang out oline than ebay.)

As I know, Kershaw won't sell them to you from their factory, but just hang out on the exchange and you should be able to snag one.

And welcome to bladeforums, and the best part of the forum, here at the Kershaw sub-forum. :D Prepare to spend more on Kershaw knives...

I'm glad this place is here, and even gladder I joined. I am about as happy as I can be right now.

THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Brad's okay...sometimes... *shrugs*

:D :p

SG2 is a fantastic steel. I bought a Ti JYDII with the SG2 steel and fell in love with it. The SG2 Blur is amazing. J Curd hooked with me up with my first then very shortly after I picked up another that was reprofiled to take the recurve out. You will absolutely love the knife.

Les, glad I could help. Now pony up $ 10 to the site and help Spark keep this place going!

Enjoy your knife.

Tony, could you post a picture of that re-profiled blade? Must have been quite an undertaking given the hardness of SG2.
Thanks
Fred

Hey Fred, I can't post pics because of my lowly status. I'll open a link to my photobucket though and you can check them out there... with my sweet MT LCC which will probably be going up for sale in a few weeks. After I upgrade my membership of course. The blade was not reprofiled by me, but by the gentleman who sold it to me. I could never do this good of a job, especially with such a hard steel.

What are /is the best way to opening the blur.Appreciate any info from the experts here, thanks.

SG2 is an excellent steel. I was really amazed with the edge keeping when I tested a Blur and if you don't have one I do happen to still own two of the SG2 Blur models. I could probably be talked out of one of them. Oh, and I like the JYDII frame lock model in this steel also. If you find one of those you should snag it because its a great knife.

STR - You should be seeing an SG2 JYDII in need of a tip up Ti clip in the next few weeks :)

(along with a couple other projects).

At first I found it easier to use my index finger. Using your right hand, push on the clip side thumbstud with your finger. Then you start with the ring finger in reverse grip, and eventually you get good with all your fingers and various other parts of your body. That's the beauty of the design.
