SG2 or other laminated blade Kershaw folders

Were there only two such laminated blade folders?

1. Junkyard Dog 2 1725SG2
2. Blur 1670BRNSG2

What were the reasons for their discontinuation?

Did the possibly less expensive KAI CB technology replace it?

They were made to be limited run..the SG2 JYD also was a Ti framelock.

They were discontinued so the people that have them can mess with people that don't. Like me. I have both

I've been wanting an sg2 blur for a long time now. Every time I see one I get more depressed on the inside.

The whole process was difficult and the boss didn't like it.

I also heard they were difficult to sharpen. Don't know why though.

Back in late 2009 / early 2010, Kershaw made a 250 piece sprint run of their Double Cross. Pakkawood with 16 layers of 420 over a VG-1 core. Exceptionally beautiful and finely executed knife, sharp as a scalpel. I wish I had bought the second one when I had the chance.

Have a SG2 blur and a couple JYD's. One new and a blem I use. My favorite knife out of all I own.

I'm with ya r2dbags. I personally haven't seen a sg2 blur for sale in almost 2 yrs. Coincidentally that's as long as I've been looking and all I want is a blem

I've looked and looked the past couple of days for a BNIB Blur SG2 but absolutely nothing is out there. Perhaps current owners love them dearly or letting them age...

Like my previous post said you'd be lucky to find a blem, let alone bnib. I don't even know if I have seen one bnib! You find a blem let me know, I'll eat it almost everyday!

Sucks to think I had about 8 or 10 in my possession at one point. Now I have one, I should have kept the lightly used one like Jim suggested. I could have had a EDC SG2 and a BNIB one. But I didnt listen, Jim you were right.
