sg2 stainless steel comparison.

I haven't heard much about sg2 stainless steel in a while.I was just thinking,What other steel is comparable to this? My guess would be zdp 189, since they are both so high on the Rc scale.I can't find any data on this steel to do a proper comparason.

does somebody have the answer??

I just got my Kershaw JYD SG2 yesterday. After taking it apart and cleaning it up, lightly lubing it and reassembling it (SO EASY!) I spent some time fine tuning the edge with a strop. The knife came SUPER sharp but without experiencing which steel performs best yet (I have several ZDP knives) I can say I feel like the stropping effort was about the same for both steels. It took a little longer to get that super fine edge than with other steels for both for sure but I don't think I spent longer on either.

That JYD SG2 is a nice knife! Pictures will come later.
