Sgian dubh?

Recently I've been looking at the Cold Steel Holdout III, based upon the traditional sgian dubh design, and I was thinking about how much better it would be with a thumbhole instead of a thumb stud.

Any chance of a Spyderco sgian dubh in the future? Perhaps a lower-cost version could be offered alongside a higher end version? I really like this blade design a lot. Thanks.

I really like the Sgian Dubh too, but I am not sure it would be conducive to the Spyderco lineup. I would like to see it.

Not the traditional look, but probably what the commoner used...

Due to the narrow blade of a Sgian Dubh, I don't think an opening hole would fit there. In this respect, I think Tim Zowada already has this covered:

The Zowada seems like a nice knife, but it just isn't for me. Being a lefty, I need a reverseable pocket clip. I also hate liner locks. False edge is not traditional to a sgian dubh, but jimping is. Would also like to see a more traditional handle shape. While the Zowada is a good knife, and has similarities to what I'm looking for, it isn't the same thing.

It would be nice to see Spyderco's take on the design. Plus it would fit well with the increasing numbers of so-called 'ethnic' blades they've been releasing.
