I went to HI to pick this one up and that's when I got the Uddha sword as well. I really like this khukuri. It may be the perfect size and weight for me. It came razor sharp as well.

With typos, etc, the poor Sgt. has had more names than any kami I can remember. Kharka was only one of them.

Ted, what are the specs on the knife, please? It's beautiful.

I'm the worst with names. Sorry Sgt.:D

The knife is 16" OAL with an 11" blade. It weighs 25oz.(oops, I can't add either)

So, I've been meaning to ask this for quite some time, but what is the Sgt.'s story?
If memory serves me right, he used to live in Texas, now he's 'over yonder' making khukris?

There has got to be a really good story somewhere in between.

oh, and nice knife

Nice pics Ted.

You talent is to show other's talent.

That's a lot of talents shown.

No, you are mixing up forum member 'Sarge', the retired sargeant from the US Army, who is off travelling, with Sgt Khardha, who is a retired Nepalese Ghurkha with the British Army and lives in Nepal.

The US one makes great knives out of files, and the Nepalese one makes great knives out of truck springs.

The Nepalese one has a son at medical college in Czech Republic training to be a doctor for his village in Nepal.

i'm not an expert nor an artist nor a snob, but i look at this and i know it's good :)

by the way, wow, that is unusually shiny.

That is beautiful, Ted! What a specimen of the good Sgt's work. Of all the kamis he seems to put the most time into fit and finish.

Actually, IIRC Sarge was an Air Force man. Wow, we really need to get our stories straight, a task getting harder all the time with new characters and kamis.

It shows in every detail of his work. Look at the closeup of the cho in the last pic - absolutely beautiful.

Nice pictures, than you Ted

Beautiful Khukuri. I love the Sgt's work. I think Khadka Ram is still a sergeant in the army of Nepal, and works part time for HI. I've seen his name spelled many ways, even on packages that came from him in Nepal.

It is well worth searching out Sgt Khadha's work. Thanks to Ferguson and to Yangdhu, I have two. The workmanship is outstanding and the little touches like the brass inlay and engraving is very understated, and beautifully worked.

So Sarge from this forum was Airborne, a parachutist, not US Army? And Sgt Khardha is Nepalese Army not British Ghurkha's? Didn't I do well! :) At least I got different people right.

That knife is simply outstanding. I've always loved the Sgt.'s handles, but that one in particular has just the right lines.
