Just lucked out and at knife store near my place. An unused SH-E below original cost. HA ha with kydex.
No camera at this point, sorry.

This blade has the ZT looking penetrator tip, black crinkle, tan handles, and what appears to be an edge taken from asym to symmetric.

It was marked as semi custom and the edge work looks very good, appears to be machine/ possible factory grind lines.

Soooo the wife says "user" and I'm wondering.....

Is this a factory semi custom or no biggie SH-E or definitely a fake that needs to be field tested thoroughly to remove all doubt?

Thanks,
J

It sounds like it is a black coat zero tolerance SH-e.
I believe these only came from skunk in a small batch.
There were also BM-e is this config.

It's like this one right?

Yeah I am pretty stoked.

Upon closer examination the handles appear maroon/reddish with tan canvas peeking up. Possibly treated with oil.

I'll refresh this thread when I get a camera(soon).

I have it! It's an awesome blade. I gave over $400 for mine, under cost means about $200, WOW!

yup coated ZT.

The Handles on the ZT-E's and the desert LE's feel much better than the standard line because they were ground less wide for the same handle thickness so they don't have that awkward feel of a lot of the reguler E-handles.
