SH Ergo vs NMSFNO

Sorry to bring up another "vs" thread, but I have not seen much on this direct comparison.

I have a SH Ergo which is very nice as a general camp knife. However, I keep hearing about how nice the NMSFNO is. They are similar in size.

For those of you who have handled both, how do they compare? Is the NMSFNO so good that I should try and get one to try out? I live in Australia, so it can be hard to get my hand on specific models.

Thanks in advance !

no, the SH Ergo is a great blade for your purpose, no need to get an SFNO except because you can.

I agree with Cobalt, the SH-e is a great general purpose camp knife, one of the most under rated Busse's.

I've owned both, still have the SH-E

Where's Matteo ?

For me, I'm with Cobalt and JJ: SH-E all the way.

I keep mine on my field pack and it does everything well. Just my two cents' worth!

Might as well make this unanimous at least up to this point!!! SH-e Bro, no need to go get the NMSFNO unless you just want to. SH-e can do anything and is VERY COMFORTABLE doing it.:cool:

SHE is on my list of knives I don't own... but want and can't justify. NMSFNO is an awesome all-rounder. I've beaten and abused the hell out of it... and it laughs.

My guess is that the guys posting before me are 100% correct, though. :D

Here is a pic of my BEAUTIFUL nmsfno....

I'm not sure why... but this one holds a better edge than any of my Busse's. And the others are great. I just can't dull this knife... It is one I'll NEVER sell...

Hey Kevin, where did you get that Tiger Stripe Sheath Bro??? Very Nice!!!

It's wrong mentality to compare this knife vs that one. It will be more correct to compare in your mind wich one you like best and get it.
I personally love the NMSFNO but I can't dismissed the value of a different (knife) taste.

Got it. I actually quite like my SH-E, but I am just wondering if I missed out on something special with the NMSFNO.

Would anyone have a picture to compare?

Roll my own, brotha... Not because I do it better than anyone else, but because I'm too cheap to pay anyone for something I can do myself... :D :p

It's Jerry's fault. Really. He made me learn how to make sheaths so I can afford more INFI.

Anyone want to do a SHE for NMSFNO passaround? I'm game...

Well then, Great Job Bro and good on ya!!!

Well, you miss something... something that can be understood only through the possession & use.
What so special about the NMSFNO comes with ownership, No other ways to describe it. "with any knife"
Remember, you can love two women but not in the same way; both can be special

one thing that I love about the older knives including the Ergo's, is that if you like more blade and less useless handle, they are the best option. The new lines of knives including the SFNO have these crazy long handles that take up space and weight on you without giving you any benefit. If you have ever had a bobbed E-mistress or Bobbed SHBM, you will see how they are actually shorter than an FSH with 2 inches more blade. The SH-E is the same. With a bobbed handle the SH-E can be so small and have so much more blade, to make it useful.

its official, Im going to swing my SH-e for the first time today, thanks for helping me justify it guys.

For what it is worth, I used to own both but now I only have my SHE and it would be on my "Best of" Busse list.

I haven't had an SHE, but I have a Mr Mojo and have tried owning 4 different NMSFNO's and 3 SFNO's.
Still have the Mr Mojo, yet don't have a single (NM)SFNO out of 7 total with all different handles tried, hand smoothed, machined magnum and machined snakeskin/standard.
Only knife I really liked with those SF handles was the Hell Razor, but even that got sold.
Through it all, still have the one ergo handle and have thought about picking up another if I can find a good deal at a time I can afford it.
Your SHE is probably an awesome blade in it's own right and you don't need an NMSFNO unless you convince yourself that you can't live without one, but trust me, you can. ;)

WOW, didnt think I would love the A2 heart so much, its sooo much easier on my pinky than the ergo. Havnt had any busses with smooth bolts, really like it. Love em both, something about the sh-e just feels right in hand.
