They say that there is no such thing as a dumb question, but I will try to test that theory!!

What is the difference (if there is one) between the Steel Heart IIE and the Steel Heart E??

And does anyone have a picture of the sheath that is currently being sent out with the SH E? I saw a post that had a very nice looking kydex sheath, but suspect that they may now be sent out with a kydex/cloth combination.

Cheers

Cho

Cho,

There is no difference between the SHII E and the SHE.

The standard sheaths are cordura with kydex liners.

Chomo,
Here is a picture of the Badger Attack-E, Natural Outlaw and Steel Heart II-E with their standard sheaths.
If you are interested in Kydex sheaths several of our regular posters do great kydex work and regularly stock sheaths for the Busse Line so that you don't need to send your knife away.
Check with

Hope this helps

Hey guys,
Can any of you tell me where to get raw kydex (including colored versions) and the various colored versions of 550 cord. I would like to start making my own sheaths as a hobbie. Just to experiment. None of you guys have to worry about me trying to take away any of your business. I ain't got that kinda time. Just wanna try it for fun. If ya don't wanna reveal your sources here you could email me if you like. kiodiken@yahoo.com I have never been able to get anyone to tell me where to find this stuff and I'm getting tempted to just use cordura soaked in ressin LOL. So any help would be appreciated. Thanks ya'll.

For paracord at cheap prices check these guys out. Available in 550 and 1000 pound strengths in 50 and 100 foot lengths. Search for the word "cord" on the site.
http://www.capsupply.com/shop/enter.html

550 = $5/100' (white, olive, red, black)
1000 = $3.50/50', $6.50/100' (white & olive only)

Check out the links on this page for knife- and sheath-making supplies, including Concealex & Kydex. This page also has sheath making instructions on it. http://www.cancom.net/~hnilica/miscellaneous.html

Texas Knifemakers Supply carries lots of materials for the trade. http://www.texasknife.com/TKS_Mainframe.htm

For kydex, this website looks very extensive, but probably at commercial quantities. http://www.kydex.com/us/index.html

HTH,
Greg
