Does anyone know if there is a place where a guy can get a set of the scales made by Sh@rp for a BK14? I can't find anything else quite like them, or that I like as well as that design. I understand he's not making these anymore, and wondered if there might be a source still? Thanks for any help.......

Got pics?

You could talk to some of the custom sheath makers. The some of the kydex guys also dabble in scales and mods. Dexwithers or maybe 710?

He was the only source and there were only a limited amount made. I tried for years to get a set of sharp scales. Not an easy thing to do. Without getting lucky and finding someone selling theirs I don't know any way to get them.

I got a pair off the exchange but you have to get lucky... I don't think he made that many.

Oh, man. I was afraid you guys would say that. I guess I'll keep my eye on the exchange.

I searched to and fro a while back, the only thing I found was that if you find a pair...you'll likely pay a handsome price for them.

Maybe look for something else,as equally unique....like Kryptoglow scales;)

Funny you say that - I found some photos of Beckers with Kryptoglow scales just last night while searching. Really liked them. Not at all like the Sh@rp scales, and I wondered how comfortable they'd be, but I thought I might give them a try due to the uniqueness.

I was under the impression that the maker of Kryptoglow scales might no longer be making them, either, though?

I grabbed a set for me and a set for Ethan. Wish I'd bought one or two more sets in different colors.

Dammit. The two scales I'd like to have are both no longer in production. Story of my life.

If ... I absolutely HAD to get something like those, I would seek out a competent machinist. Not the most difficult job for a person with skill.

Yep! Requires a Little filing on the inside, but no biggie. I did it with a Gerber Multitool.

Interesting. Would not have thought they'd require any work, even if it's not much work. Thought these were made for the 14, so they'd fit out of the box.

They are made for IZULA, so they fit, but need minor adjustments. Takes 5-10 mins.
