Anyone know if this gentleman is still making scales for the BK14's and how to get a hold of him? I'm looking for two pairs of scales...preferably micarta or G10 or aluminum...help please!!!!

Not sure but I think the TKC Izula scales fit. (I might be wrong but they should, same handle design if your looking for g10)

Thanks for the response guys! I really appreciate it. I have those scales on the knives currently but am trying to find something that is full handle and adds a little more meat to the handle. Those are great scales but still feel so slight in the hand.

What modification is needed to make the izula scales fit? A bit of sanding?

He does/did make nice scales:

The Izula scales are nice and great for the cost. You just sand or carve away some of the insert that fits in the handle and they fit great

You have to take a bit off material off of the inside even then they don't really line up just right.

I happen to have a spare set of these G10 scales, but you will need to send me an email since there are no contact options in your profile.

Sorry, I am new to this...where the heck do I even add contact info? I thought since I set up my username with my email is automatically connected if someone sends a message...SCALES...SCALES...SCALES...these should not be so hard to find

I think I figured it out TD :)

I can't believe that someone(s) have not cornered the market on these scales and they aren't more readily available, it seems that there is a demand market out there just not enough supply...anyone who make a nice full handle scale for these has got to be able to sell a bunch of them. The little BK'ers are great but with a full handle it changes the knifes complexion entirely and makes them even better! I'm going to continue to troll the web and hopefully come up with someone who can spit out a couple of pairs for me. Thanks again for the help and responses and hope more posts and advice are still to come

You can get the zytel from Kabar for $12. If that isn't thick enough you can add a liner for $0.50 or so. Or you can use the ESEE micarta, and a liner. Just saying for the masses there are options.

Your right on man, there are definitely options and good ones too. I had the zytel scales but found them to be a bit flimsy and they broke. I currently have the ESEE micarta scales on my knife and they fit great with a little sanding down of the inserts. They are definitely good scales and priced right but I am looking for something to cover the full handle not just up to the lanyard hole. I might try the izula g10 scales if I have no luck out here but for now I am going to keep trolling the chat rooms and Internet and hopefully hit pay dirt.
