I've looked and looked, but I can't find the specs for the SH1-A.
Does anyone have them (weight, thickness . . .)?

Also, how does it feel in the hand as compared with other knives (say the Hell Razor and NO-E)?

Thanks

Answer for one of the questions...

I mic'd a bunch of my blades yesterday. I believe the SH1A-SE was .22" thick.

The SH-1A SE is surprisingly light feeling, yet still has a feel that you have a hefty blade. Bet it could be used all day w/o your hand getting tired. Very well balanced.

I don't have any exact specs though.

Here's an old-school SH1A with a SFNO, compliments of Mulder:

Just have the specs for the SH1A SE. I don't know that anyone has actually seen a SH1A that wasn't a Blade Special Edition offering.

Courtesy of KAAK:
6 3/8" Blade Length
6" Cutting Length
5 5/8" Handle Length
.220" Thickness

Is there to be a difference between the blade special edition offering, and the standard fare offered to the rest of us?

I'm sure there are many who will think this is blaspheme, but I hope the blade is a bit thinner/lighter.
I love my NO-E, but it is just too heavy to haul around all day.

No one knows yet. They're two back on the offering list.

Sus scrofas will be followed by Scotch Dispensers and Anorexic Assault Shakers.

Then we should see the SH1A's.

You may have noticed that Busse tend NOT to be thinner/lighter. Many of the fan-boys here (:D Hey, I'm one too) like their knives FAT.

A thickness of 0.22" is thin for Busse in this size blade

I do like the longer blades (6" and up) fat. However, in the smaller blades, thin is the ticket.

I really like my ABA LE, my slicer AD, and my newfound Leaner Meaner. Also like the slender GW LE.

Well if that's the case, I'd be more than happy to take some of the Zero Tolerance off the hands of the "fan-boys!"

;)

Believe me, the preference for fat blades has not been lost on me.

Thin is In! I'm still waiting for the Anorexic, or Zero Tolerance, Game Warden.
