Do any of you blade goers who spoke with Jerry (or anyone else for that matter) know if the SH1 anniversary knife will be offered on the website, or was it just for Blade? Also, if it will be offered any idea of the time frame?
TIA.

I believe the original thread said something about it being a regular offering on their site...

That's my understanding. The version at Blade was a 2007 Special Edition version...a very limited edition.

I think there'd be a Hog stampede if Jerry only produced the 20 or so I saw handed out at Blade!!!

There's no way to be sure, but I believe the regular SH1-A or ASH-1 or whatever you choose to call it will be coming up soon. You know, 2 weeks or so.

Overall I think the entire SH line is a beautiful knife; maybe the most beautiful of all the Busse Knives. But of the ones I have owned none suited me as users. They were of the size that made me think that I’d just use a FBM and have more blade.

That is until I got my hands on the SH1 at Blade. It is a killer knife. For the way I use knives (FOR ME) I’d put it nearly on par with a Badger-III as a perfect user.

I've always felt the same way --- why not just go with a BM if you're going to carry a huge knife anyway...

But the SH-1 was a sweet mid-sized knife --- maybe something similiar to why everyone makes such a huge fuss over the SFNO??? I'm looking forward to seeing what options are available when this one hits the site

The word from Boss Hog himself:

This updated version of the original Steel Heart will NEVER be offered again!!!. . .

These will be offered like our other models, with a variety of blade finishes and handle material choices. . . .

The Limited Edition will be the official anniversary model and will be the only one to bear the 15th anniversary logo.

A Special Edition HOG version will be available in VERY LIMITED quantities!!!!

Nuke On !!!!

Jerry

Over an empty bottle of Pig Nose, Jerry told me" Shhh. I'll let you in on a speckal secret. Only makin one of dem Annversry things. And just because, I'm shippin' it straight away to you. Okay, buddy?"

Oooops, I forgot I wasn't supposed to say anything:grumpy:

Disregard anything you've heard or read about this.

BTW, The 2007 SH is soooo SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET. Now I know what I've been missing out on.

what's more practical, a CGFBM or a FSH or FHH? I was thinking of selling my CGFBM and trying to get a FSH or FHH. I'd like to get a SH1A for a user and have a big blade for bigger chores. would keeping my FBM make more sense?

I think both have their attributes. Having chopped with an HH, I had wished the FBM was with me instead for the bigger stuff. i think there is a place for both, as the FBM can be a little large for those smaller tasks that still need grunt...

If you really want to chop with it, and carrying distance doesn't matter, then the mistress is the way to go. It only makes sense to take up the Steel Heart if you have to pack/carry it a ways, don't have the stamina to work all day with the BM, or need a more well-rounded knife for non-chopping tasks. I think the SH1A is a bit smaller than the FSH, so it's going to be less of a chopper and more of an all-round blade.

The SH1 is a little shorter than my SOW, but with a much taller blade, so yes it is a small SH. I can't wait to get my BA-III back and see how the SH1 compares to that.

I'd like to have just a big utility blade that might include chopping. I dont really think I need a dedicated chopper. I plan to get the SH1A for an all around blade.

if you like the SFNO, then you will love the SH1. If you like the SJTac, then you will love the SH1.

I think that the perfect outdoor combo to actually wear would be the SH1a and the AD.

I think I have a line on the SE SH1a's that I missed at Blade.

I'm going to have my designated thrower!

I can't wait.
