Well, it seems the "stealth owners" are going to sit this Thead out.

Heck, already knew Foo and DOL had SH1s.

Nothing new for the notebook this time.:(

Man those SH-1's look cool.
I need to find me one of those someday. :D

is there really any draw (as compared to an ASH1) other than collectability?

I think they look pretty cool, but they're just so similar to the re-issue (or so it seems).

Old-school handle = old-school feel. Can't beat it. Plus, different balance I bet, and perhaps thickness. Also the feeling of holding the original, vs a newer more mass-produced item. I guess you could go through life using stuff from K-Mart as long as it's functional, but some folks just derive pleasure from holding and using a tool with more meaning & history. Not that ASH-1s are like K-Mart, mind you, but relative to a SHSH, they are similar. Most folks pro'lly would never use their SHSH though, it would sit on a shelf while they take their ASH out for a spin.

I agree totally there is no comparison at all the balence is perfect weight far

less than a ASH1 ATS-34 a fine steel to boot plus Jerry made these

knives and they are rare and priceless:D

DOL,

It isn't necessary to bump this 6 month old thread just so people go looking for a SH1 which you just happen to have for sale. People that visit this forum and are looking for Busse Knives for sale know where to look for them.

Locking this thread down so that it doesn't happen again in the future.
