Shabaria clip

I just got a nice early Shabaria (#068, VG-10, closed back) that has no clip. I have a spare "standard" Spyderco clip, but the screws are too small. It's strange because the screws I have fit almost all my other knives (Spyderco, CRKT, Buck, etc.). Does the Shabaria have a special clip and/or screws? If so, where can I get a replacement?

Hi Klesk - those early Shabarias (and probably all of them?) had a gloss black clip with gold Spyderco emblem, and a small hole beneath the middle screw hole that allowed access to the blade pivot screw without removing the clip.

Klesk,

If the clip and screws from a newer Shabaria (VG-10 but open back) would fit, send me an email with your snail mail addy. Took the clip off mine, got Vess to make me up a nice sheath to fit it without the clip, could not find set screws to fill the holes, so I filled the screw holes peramanently. Clip is as Zardoz described, black, gold spydie bug, three screw holes with a larger 4th hole below them for access to the pivot screw.

Edited to add: Oh, and I just checked, the hole pattern is way different from the three screw clip on my Vesuvius, but looks about the same as that on my Herbst.

Thanks for the info Zardoz.

Deacon: e-mail on the way. Thanks a bunch for the assistance! :D
