I just received a Shabaria yesterday. This is a well designed/constructed knife. I am continually amazed at the level of attention to detail and the quality of construction. The blade steel happens to be my favorite (VG-10). Thanks to all at Spyderco for another "winner"!

As I stated in a previous post - I think this has one of the best blade-to-handle ratio in the business.

one hidden aspect of the SHABARIA is that when holding it in a closed position and in a ice pick hold when the end of the butt is sticking out of your fist, it is a very effective self defence blunt weapon without the need to result to leathel force.
the "pointy" end of the butt and the steel liners and spacer makes it very effective response to an agressor and if the S&*%# hits the fan you can always open it...
just an idea of more uses to this great knife.
