Sal and Michelle,

I saw this knife at the Blade show and was wondering when it was coming out? Also are you thinking of putting titanium handles on it instead of the micarta?

Liong - The Shabaria Model (Eduard Bradichansky design) is in production and we expect to begin shipping within the next month.

Blade - Hollow ground VG-10, plain edge or combination edge. Rc 60-61

Handle material - Black Micarta, bead blasted, domed rivets. Two full length liners (one creates lock)

Black clip (gold bug) tip down carry.

The blade length is 4" (as large as the Military), but the diminuive handle mass and thin curved blade shape give the appearance of a much smaller knife. Interesting illusion.

Should have one to show in NY Show.

There was one sample, but it was somewhat hidden in the display case. It was very nice...nicer than I anticipated. I want one as soon as they become available!
 
I saw the sample at the NYC show on Saturday & had the chance to play w/ it briefly. Nice Knife! I personally would have preferred a larger opening hole, but I guess my Wegner has me spoiled. BTW, will the scales be polished Micarta like the demo model, or blasted for a bit better grip? Thanks!

Rugger - Sorry I missed you at the show. The demo model was bead blasted. The polished version had flat rivets (not at show). The bead blasted version has the domed rivets.
