Lost mine this weekend,so I thought it was time for another favourite sunglasses thread...

Me: Ray-Ban Highstreet Uptown Ovals with brown B-15 lenses:

My backups are a pair of Ray-Ban Outdoorsman with B-15 lenses.

I really like the brown lenses. The seem to sharpen the contrast such that they are good to wear even when overcast.

So, what are your favs?

I like my ugly Oakley Racing jackets.

But what I really want are something with lenses that are dark enough so that a normal person looking at your face can't see your eyes.

CD --

I've been looking for a new set of glasses, and the ones you posted above are sure to make me look extraordarily cool -- I mean, even more so than usual! Thanks for the pic, my search may be over.

They are awfully cool, Joe. The ones picture are the black with the grey lenses. The copper with the brown lenses are the really cool ones...

I've always thought that the dark glasses was for checking out chicks without them noticing

But there is a certian intimidation factor involved where they don't know what you are thinking. Jason Vorhees, Leatherface, and Michal Myers had their masks. Why you ask? The intimidation factor is there.

If they can't see what you are looking at, then they think that they are watching your every move. It makes them paranoid, and for some reason, I like doing that.

Also I like the racing jackets, because they are the only wrap around sunglasses that fits over my fat head!

For the past decade, I have looked @ the world thru rose colored lenses, and things have never looked better! My initial love affair began with the famous Suncloud Rose lens. As my taste (and budget) grew, I eventually stumbled upon my holy grail, the Serengetti Vermillion lens! Up until last year they were only available in dopey frames, then, finally someone got a clue and designed some super looking shades! The lens itself is a photochromatic lens that darkens itself according to conditions. It also offers some of the best definition in snow of any lens. But my favourite feature has got to be what they do to clouds, you really have to see it to beleive it. BTW I own Revo, Oakley, Rayban product as well but nothing compares to my Serengettis!!

Lars,
interesting story about the serengetti's. A few years back, I was spending some time in Arizona (Land of the White Sedans.) I was walking along with my serengetti's on (getting that rosey colored look at the world), when I saw a white car that looked white. I stopped for a moment, took off my glasses. It was it was one of 5 white cars parked sided by side, (anyone who's been to Phoenix can testify, this is not an unusual occurance). Put the glasses back on, and I'm looking at 4 pink cars, and one white one. I stand there for a minute or two, just putting on and taking off my glasses. My friend walks over, and asks what the hell I'm doing. I have him put on the glasses and take them off. We both stand there a while longer. A woman we didn't know comes over, obviously curious, I hand her the glasses, within 4 minutes, we've got about 6 people standing around, handing my glasses back and forth, when the owner of the car comes out, obliviously gets into the car and drives away, never once asking this crowd of idiots why they're gawking at his car.
Anyway, I got the first gal's phone number...

This is not a syllogism.

Basic Ballistic Gargoyles in Black Ice for me! I had my first pair dam* near blown off my face by a ricochet that would have at the very least taken my eye out if not for them. This pair is my third, I keep one in the truck for emergency backup.

Perscription Vogue...Lenses are Gray gradient 3...I had gradient 5 but seein as I wear there 24-7 it was hard on night driving and dark rooms..Us Ducks can see good at night we just have trouble holding the flashlight..
