Todd at Shadetree Phenolics hooked me up w/some felt material for this kitchen knife. It's a little more "grippy" than canvas micarta, but finishes about the same.

That would look good in an orange and black kitchen.

Is there a practical reason for the multitude of pins at the butt of the handle or just aesthetics?

They're aesthetic. I originally intended to use a different handle material so they'd jump out more...they get kind of lost in that design.

I'm liking that felt more and more...very versatile and very cool and different looking.

I find this one a bit busy for this knife, but I like it a lot just the same.
Sweet job!
You do gyutos too?

looks good

I have used felt only as flat felt/epoxy laminate, never in this manner.
