Here is a Shadley Coke bottle that I picked up while at the Chicago show. I've been admiring this knife for months and just couldn't take it anymore

I have never seen a Shadley that I did not like. His finish on backsprings is especially phenomenal.

Just from the pic the back of that knife looks like the liner and the springs are all one piece of metal. I can only imagine what it looks like in person.

That "one piece of metal" describes what I have seen on Gene's finish and I have not seen any other maker who does it as well as he does.
