Here is a picture of my two Eugene Shadley knives in my favorite handle material Greenbone. Photo's by friend. Finally had the time to get the photo shoot done and post. Small game fixed and two bladed serpintine jack. Both in ATS-34.

Those both look like they are outstanding knives. I particularly like the fixed blade. Seems to be a perfect size for a city knife.

Gene is one of the most maticulous makers I have known. His knives are as close to perfect as you can find in the fit and finish area. He is even "good where and when nobody is lookin". :D

Congrats on two beautiful knives!

And one of the nicest guys around. Hi all Tim Herman here.I have recently started making my Slivers in slipjoints as I really love that walk and talk being an old lockback maker for decades. At ECCKS I showed Gene my first little bitty Sliver slip that was a custom order for a lady collector. Gene kindly pointed out points I needed to improve upon and answered my endless questons and even took time to draw out some things.
I have also designed a Hermanized Barlow with a blade thats a cross between a wharncliff and a sheepsfoot but with a sylized cincave front angle that will have my trademark polished clip bevels against the satin finished blade. And thoes nice big Barlow bolsters are great for engraving. I may even have to make myself one in that cool green bone. Love that green and dont understand why more makers dont use it. Getting to be too many amber stagbone ones lol. I would love to find Case cranberry bone too, thats a nice jig bone color I think.
Here is the first Sliver slip

Love Shadley's work. I didn't realize he even made fixed blades.

What's that Herman hack posting pics for??? HAHAHAHA!!!

Gorgeous Tim!!! It's nice to know someone of your caliber is still humble enough to ask another for pointers. Just like all your knives, I love that one!!!

Tim Herman Slipjoints eh..be on the lookout for an email sir..

The first custom I ever bought was From Gene six or seven years ago it was a split back swell center whittler..that will soon be retaking its special place in my collection..every year Gene delivers(if I'm lucky)a piece
this past ECCKS I took delivery on a new pattern for Gene and by his count one of the most difficult to execute..A Lockback Whittler..Tony Bose sent him a tracing of the pattern saying "you might not see one of these again
Bose Shadley and Kawamura are the probably the only three custom makers out there doing this one.
Here its dressed up in Stag with rose gold escutcheon and pins..Accompanied by a Cokebottle jack in Old German bone...

As far as I know the small game fixed blade is the only one Shadley makes. Thank you for all the comments. He revised the sheath for the small game and sent me a new one. His customer service is excellent. Wish I was going to Solvang this week for the show but I don't think I will make it. Usually he sells out before the show opens during the preview hour. He also touched up the folder for me last year at the show. Took it home and had it good as new next day at the show.
