Put together a shadow box similiar to what J. uses and messing aroung with it taking pic's of some of my old knives.
I still must tweak my adjustments more.

Wow, nice knives. Ya know what's funny, is the fact that I an see perfectly on your 1st post, but the others are little red xs

Yalp, same thing as peter.
I love the shadow box though...can I have one? :footinmou :p ;)
Very cool.
I set up one of my knives on a pedistal inbetwixt the tines of antlers still on the bone. I then set my cowboy hat on top. Looked pretty good until I saw yours. :footinmou ;) Oh well. I gotta get me a deer next year so's I can do that!

nice photos does any one have photos or plans on how to make one

Nice photos of beautiful knives IG! If you have a dedicated space for your setup you are a lucky man. We have so much grandbaby crap stacked up all over our house and basement there's no place left for my stuff. I sure wish I could set up too. Anyway.

I hope you don't mind but I tweaked one of your pics a little in Photoshop Elements. I think PSP has the same kind of controls. I wanted a better look at the damascus, so added a little fill flash, lightened it overall then sharpened it. If you're using regular light bulbs you might like to change to florescents for a whiter light. I haven't done that yet but need to. Here's what I came up with.

Thanks Dave. I hear Ya on the light bulbs. I am using the GE Reveal 100 as J. recommended, but I put a spot lite shining in the front. I thing the spot lite is the problem.

Looks pretty good George. Yep, you should drop the front spot light. I just use the two natural bulbs overhead and try to make sure there are no other major light sources (lamps or bright sunlight) in the room. Doen't have to be dark, just alot darker than the box. Play around with it some, it's frustrating as hell at first but, it's worth it in the end.

Really nice, George! I am talking about the knives AND the pics. Nice of gentleman Dave for the tweak job, too. I gotta give ya a thumbs up, MISTER RASCAL.
