Does anyone find the Shadow III grip a bit pinchy on the hand?

I find that my skin tends to kind of roll a bit on the grip in the plam just at the line of my big knuckles.

Its a bit painful at times.

Perhaps the grip is a bit small for my hand given its shape.

My small 21 I have does not do that at all, and its a bit smaller.

I wear size "large" gloves, so I have larger hands. My shadow III just fits my hand. I have used it heavily at times. It does slide around in your hand a little I think for a couple reasons. Since it just fits my hand, if it slides even a little, your hand is going to feel out of position. Its a smaller diameter than the 5.5" models, so your going to have less to grip and I can see it possibly twisting. I once chopped down a poplar tree with it that was 5" in diameter so we could install a salt lick for deer. So it will perform under heavy use. If you plan to use it heavily, I would recommend gloves if possible. I did not have gloves. I remember when chopping the poplar tree ( it took one full hour of chopping ), we were taking turns and my dad cut the lanyard in half........lol. I thought it was the end of the world......lol. Now I dont use the lanyard because I think it gets in the way a little on the 4" models. But now that I know how to tie the lanyard, I have no worries.....But I must say its a great little knife, my first CRK ever and it will always be special to me. I like it so much, I even bought a second one. Below are some pics I took in the past when asked about hand size and the shadow III. Enjoy !!
