Shadow IV & MK VI Blade Points

Hey guys I have a couple of questions regarding the blade points between the Shadow IV (spear point blade) and MK VI (clip point blade).
1. Is there truly a difference in point strength between the two knives?
2. Which one has the better/easier penetration capability?
3. Are there any advantages in choosing one over the other?
4. Are there any specific tasks that one blade would be better suited for then the other.
Thanks for the advice in advance.

with clip-point blades its easier to make smaller holes, like for sewing in the wild. a spear-point would be better for emergency digging!

Westlen said it well.

I'd also say that the clip is going to penetrate better most of the time (assuming the spear is not sharpened on the top and the clip is not "upswept".)

But, normally the spear would be stronger in that it has buch more metal behind it.

But of course, the clip just looks so much better! Of course that's just my opinion ;)
