Shadow IV sheath question

Hello all,
I just recieved my Shadow IV in the mail today. I like it and the sheath but I have a problem with the black leather sheath. I unsnapped the back loop part (that keeps the belt loop closed) and I cannot re snap it so that it is the button is flush. The best I can do is get the bottom part of the button snapped (but the top part remains unsnapped) but this comes undone very easily. Is there a trick to doing this? I tried doing it from top to bottom and other ways.

Mike, look at the snap, there should be a bit of metal, kind of a lip at the top, that bit should go over the rim of the mating part of the snap first. It is possible that the snap is misaligned, there is (at least there used to be) a prong on the underside of the snap that bites into the leather to keep in position, but I’ve seen those fail for one reason or another.

Mine is very hard to snap back in place but will.I think it like that for a reason.
I carry mine in a kydex sheath.
